Color types

Different types of coloring exist and each has its own Characteristics.
Permanent color, Semipermanent, demipermanent, temporal, vegetable, metal, fantasy and ammonia free permanent color.

The permanent color as its name implies is the dye that gives hair a permanent or long-lasting color . Contains ammonia as alkaline agent and has the ability to lighten or darken your natural hair color changing to lighter shades of 2-5 depending on the peroxide or darker until desired .

Semi-permanent dyes are those that add color or highlights without altering the natural color of the hair and not have the ability to clarify one color and the duration is shorter , not made permanent and only last for 6-8 washes. They are used to give shine to hair and gray tones to give the same level or darker than the natural.

T
he demipermanentes are more durable than semi-permanent and less damaging than permanent , not have the quality to lighten hair , but helps to refresh and renew the natural color of our hair or the color you have dyed . You can cover gray hair as long as it is not very thick and graying hair. Does not contain ammonia , in some cases you can then apply in chemically treated hair  and to bring you hair shine.

Temporary can be applied as a shampoo , gel or foam, its duration is very short and will last until the next wash or shampoo.Used to revive the natural color or refresh the gray hair and neutralize yellowing brighter colors and also neutralize undesired  color after bleaching, removing yellow , orange or red . Its color does not penetrate the cuticle and therefore removed in the next shampoo.

Dyes fantasia . Dyes are usually temporary and are applied as Glimmer , switches or highlights , it lasts three weeks or so depending on how often you wash your hair .

Vegetable dyes are products made through the Henna plant, chamomile and indigo .

And the metal is drawn through lead and silver salts and their use is not recommended because they are high in these metals and their toxicity.

Dyes without ammonia. Are permanent dyes and vegetable compounds are not have lightening properties and is ideal for dark hair as not damaged.

There are also treatments cellophane, these treatments condition the hair and make them look more healthy and shiny, covering the hair cuticle with polymers that make it softer.
These treatments are made colorless and colors.
The colors formulated containing neither ammonia or peroxides, such as semi-permanent dyes are only deposited color must apply the same tone or base level or darker shades, as semipermanent has no clarifying properties.

The colorless, instead of depositing color, deposited a crystalline layer that makes the hair look very healthy and shiny and its duration can be between 8 and 12 weeks depending on how often you shampoo is applied.
